This is a still life workshop focusing on creating the illusions of glass, shiny metals
and fabrics successfully. Increase your ability to paint what you see, developing your awareness of shapes, values and edges. We will explore the difference between painting Light and Shadow, Local Tone, Silhouette or Form Paintings. Students will learn how to organize art equipment, paint with a limited palette, select good composition, identify light, dark and arrange in masses. We will also touch on basic drawing skills that will strengthen your ability to paint what you see. This informative workshop will consist of instruction, demonstrations and hands on painting by each student. Individual time and instruction will be emphasized!
