I had the good fortune to spend a week plein air painting with a friend in Marin, CA, Everything from Bodega Bay to the Golden Gate Bridge. Hats off to the Daily Paintworks site because that is how Teresa and I met, originally participating in Karin Jurick’s Challenge Blog and later on the Daily Paintworks.
What an Amazing week, eating breathing and thinking art 24/7, with someone who understands my obsession.
This is the first time I have been able to paint here at Frog Hollow, every other time I have been here I have been teaching a workshop. I have wanted to paint here for a while, Donna thanks for sharing!!!!!I look forward to returning with my paints and my Fly Rod!
It makes no difference if your medium is Oil, Watercolor, Pastel or Acrylic. Drawing is the basic building block to improve them all. Take part in two full days of intense drawing instruction, exploring light, value, shape and edges. Learn to draw more than just what you see, and then take it all the way to the canvas.
Some paintings are simply fun to paint. This is my latest addition in the Daily Paint Works Challenges. My husband reminded me that the old Zippo Lighters would stay lit till you popped the lid shut. I could not resist adding the flame.
